Launching the File Explorer gets you a "Quick Access" window. You can use the File Explorer to carry out a variety of tasks, which may include the organization and management of folders and files. It also helps you manage and view your computer's resources, attached storage, and even optical devices.

CHANGING THE APPEARANCE OF FILE EXPLORER

If you want to change the appearance of your File Explorer setting, click it in the navigation pane by selecting "View tab" or change it to default from the "Folder Options" dialogue by selecting "View tab" on the Ribbon and select "Options" under "Show/Hide" group. Click in Open File Explorer to list box and select "This PC," then click "Apply" and "OK." If you do not want to see your most frequently used files and accessed folders, you can easily adjust the settings from the same dialog by going to "Privacy" and unchecking the following:

Show recently used files in Quick access.
